Shinjo Local History Center
Festival floats are displayed in the Festival hall; old tools are in the Snow Country Folklore building; articles connected with the history of the Shinjo area in the History and Folklore building; and forged-metal works of Hoseki Okuyama, a living national treasure, and the art of Zenjiro Chikaoka, a Western-style painter, are exhibited in the Shinjo Distinguished Citizens Commemorative Gallery.
